Norway's busiest ferry route Moss-Horten goes electric

Bastø Fosen has chosen TNSDC to design the "next generation upgrade" of its new ferry due for delivery in fall 2020. When charging infrastructure is in place, the ferry will operate fully electric, with all energy originating from shore.

Norwegian Ship Design has in close cooperation with the shipowner developed solutions enabling full electrification of the ferry. The ferry will become the world's largest fully electric vessel.
